The health and safety of our families, guests, and employees is our top priority. At this time, Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home will operate by taking extra precautions, but still welcome family and friends for visitations and services.
With respect of the Governor’s “stay at home” executive order on March 27, 2020 and update from the North Carolina Board of Funeral service, we are still able to host funerals and memorials up to 50 people ; “in an effort to promote human dignity and limit suffering, funerals are permitted to include no more than fifty (50) persons, while observing social distancing requirements to the extent practical”.
While we are still able to serve our community, we will discuss all available options with our families and collectively decide the best and most safe option. We are able to make arrangements or answer any questions via phone and/or video (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, etc) AND have the capability to webcast, livestream, and record (audio/video) any service held in our chapel.
We want to assure you that the Jernigan-Warren team is taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization’s statements, along with North Carolina Division of Public Health, National Funeral Director’s Association, and the North Carolina Board of Funeral Service regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following guidelines from these agencies and our local health departments.
Direct Eye Contact, Loving Words, and a Warm Smile can be as meaningful to the families as a traditional handshake or hug, especially during these difficult times.
If you have any questions about the funeral home operations, please feel free to contact our general manager, Ben Chambers, by emailing him at: ben@jerniganwarren.com, or calling: (910) 483-1331
