Anne Myrick Inguagiato passed away on the morning of Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Fayetteville, NC. She was 99 years old. Born on July 1, 1919 in Norfolk Virginia. She was currently a resident of NC living at the Carolina Inn in Fayetteville.
Anne grew up in Norfolk, Virginia and moved to the Washington DC area to attend Georgetown University Nursing School and graduated in 1940. She worked as a nurse until she married and started a family.
Anne was an amazing seamstress and loved to make baby quilts. She was known for making Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls to give away to children. She was a huge Redskin football fan, she cheered for the Fighting Irish and she loved the game of golf.
Anne was a long-time member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Falls Church Virginia where she raised her family and served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Anne is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Gerard J. Inguagiato MD and a son, Dennis Roger Inguagiato. Her parents and only brother, Benjamin Pope Myrick, Anne Brounley Myrick and Benjamin Myrick.
Anne is survived by her six living children, Joseph Michael Inguagiato of Burke, Va; Gerard Inguagiato of Glenview, IL; Anne Emerson of Stratford, CT; Mary Elliot of Fayetteville, NC; Elizabeth Hohenboken of Hillsdale, IL and Nancy Burke of Syossett, NY. She has 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
