Emma Dixon Obituary

Emma Claire Dixon, aged 12, of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away September 11, 2018. Emma was born October 5, 2005 and was the daughter of Christopher and Dawn Dixon.

Emma adored her parents, her brothers, her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was her “daddy’s girl” and her “mama’s heart”.  Emma loved the attention of being the only little girl on both sides of her family. Her most recent obsession involved the color teal - from her clothes to her nails to her newly decorated room. Her zest for traveling to new places had recently been discovered, and she was open-minded and excited for new places to see and people to meet. Emma loved playing with and caring for small children. She had a knack for making others laugh and loved texting silly pictures of herself and creating antics that others would find funny.  She adored her friends and treasured every minute she spent with them.  She loved large milkshakes from Chick-Fil-A, going to Starbucks, playing tennis, shopping with her mom and watching movies with her dad.  Emma faced challenges from early on in life yet never let them hold back her interests or desires to try something new. Her family was proud of her kind-hearted spirit, her eagerness for life and her bravery.

Emma is survived by her parents, Christopher and Dawn Dixon of Fayetteville; older brothers Timothy and Brooks of the home; maternal grandparents George and Lois Eason of Macclesfield, NC ; paternal grandmother Vera Dixon of Fayetteville. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, L. Glynn Dixon.  Emma is also survived by her Aunt Cindy and Uncle Robert Yarborough of Clayton, Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Ryan Ciccone of Pinehurst, and her two cousins, Dixon and Beckett Ciccone of Pinehurst.
