Frances Joyner Camp, 85, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
Frances was born March 1, 1933 in Rocky Mount, NC to the late Katherine and Edgar Joyner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Arthur James Camp.
Upon her marriage to Rev. Camp, she became a supportive Air Force wife to her late husband, Chaplain Lt. Colonel Jim Camp.
Frances taught High School Science in Winston-Salem, NC. She was a faithful member of Arran Lake Baptist Church where she organized and led a Bible Study that was named in her honor. Frances was the office manager for Arran Lake Family Dentistry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Arran Lake Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday.
Frances is survived by her sons, Charles “Chuck” Umstead (Nancy) of Hope Mills; James “Ed” Camp (Arlene) of Severna Park, MD; daughter, Cathryn “Cathy” Bryan (Mark) of Fayetteville; brother, George Edgar Joyner, Jr. of Sumter, SC; grandchildren, Brent, Sam, Chris ,Matt, Rob ,Sarah, John, Will, Jessica, Zach, and Jake; 13 great-grandchildren.
