Helen Howard Bennett

Helen Howard Bennett, 64, passed away Monday, March 4th, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.  She was a faithful member of Cross Creek Presbyterian Church where she shared her love of music through her work with the adult and children's choirs.  Helen retired from Cumberland County Schools after serving 18 years as a teacher's assistant.  

A visitation will be held at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Thursday, March 7th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  A funeral service will be held Friday, March 8th at 10:00 am at Cross Creek Presbyterian Church on McPherson Church Road.  Burial will take place at Cross Creek Cemetery following the funeral service on Friday. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Howard, Jr., her mother, Naomi Jones Howard, and her son-in-law, John Frasier.  She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jon Stephen Bennett; her daughters, Rachel Bennett Frasier of Holly Springs, and Rebecca Lane Guzewicz (Paul) of Rock Hill, SC; sisters Ann Chaney (John) of Charleston, SC, Connie Deaver (Thomas) of Deep Run, and Tammy Howard (David Smith) of Creedmoor as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
