Lieselotte “Lilo” Ruth Horn Gibson, 93, of Fayetteville, passed over to her Heavenly Home on Friday, July 12, 2019.
Lilo was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who emigrated to the United States from Berlin, Germany. A woman of great Faith who believed in the power of prayer, Lilo cherished her family, her “Sunday School Ladies” at Arran Lake Baptist Church, the caring team at Autumn Care in Fayetteville, loving visitors Marilyn Koval, Janet Wallace-Bartley and Annemarie Estep, and all beautiful friends over the years. She lovingly cared for many children over the years, taking an active interest in those with special needs and the disadvantaged. She also worked at Kings Point Manufacturing Company, where she rose from a sewing machine operator to management. During the Vietnam War, she helped oversee the inspection of bulletproof vests worn by the military.
