Mrs. Agnes Hazel Wright, 89, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008. She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Cumberland County to Della Green Gunter and Charles Gunter. She was one of eight children. Mrs. Wright was retired from civil service. She was a firm believer in education and continued her education at Fayetteville Technical Community College during her life following into her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garlon Wright; and her twin sister, Helen Rowell. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, June 10, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Jernigan-Warren chapel by the Rev. Todd Brady. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. Mrs. Wright is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Bartlett, Kathryn Burgess and Lorie Garner, all of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Danielle Bartlett, Desiree Evans and Kelli Dawn Goodman; and two great-grandchildren, Tristen Fairfax and Aubrie Davis. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
