Albert W. Kenney, III, 73, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Albert was born June 29, 1949 in Alexandria, VA, to Albert W. Kenney, Jr. and Margaret Jean Gordon Kenney. After graduating high school in Loudoun County, VA, he joined the US Army and became a medic.  Albert was a Vietnam War veteran.

In 1971, he met Dianne Margaret Rourke and they married on July 1, 1972.

Albert received his Physician Assistant degree from Alderson-Broaddus University in WV in 1978.  He then reinlisted in the US Army and served until 1985, He continued to serve in the NC National Guard and US Army Reserves.  He went into private practice and worked for several doctors until retiring from Highland Neurology in 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianne Margaret Kenney; daughters, Michelle and Rachel; son, Michael, and grandchildren, Charlotte and Megan.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the Church of Latter Day Saints on Scotty Hill Rd.
