Mr. Albert Johnson Smith, III, 73 of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday August 14, 2021 at Womack Army Medical Center.

Al was a Retired Chief Warrant Officer II of Support Company, 7th Special Forces Group Airborne 1st Special Forces. During his retirement he worked in sales for Q98, a Land Survey Co, and had a small PI Co.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Al and Gladys Smith of Virginia and his grandson, Christopher L. Parker.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11 am at Lafayette Memorial Park.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Karin; children, Judy Delias (Ray), Diana Parker, Ron Parker (Carol), Robert Parker (Nikki); grandchildren, Valerie (Daniel), Vanessa, Tori and Erin; great-grandchildren, Emory, Parker and Layla.

Al was a smart, intelligent, kind and loving person that loved the latest gadgets and woodwork.

He enjoyed traveling, hiking and the outdoors.

He was truly a family man and will be deeply missed by all that had the honor of knowing him. He can now walk with the angels.
