Mrs. Alberta C. Bailey, 87, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in Bethesda Nursing Home. Mrs. Bailey was a longtime employee of Methodist College and operated Maple Leaf Nursery for many years and was an avid botanist. Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband Elliott M. Bailey. She is survived by three sons, Gerald E. Bailey of Tarpon Springs, Fl, Marshall W. Bailey of Fayetteville, and Ronald Reynolds of White, Ga; daughters, Janice Bailey Guinard of Stedman, Lynne Bailey Dalton of Clinton; two brothers, Charles Carter of Jackson Springs and David Carter of Parkton; sister, Dorothy Jackson of Parkton; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held from 7 to 9 pm Saturday, March 10, 2007, in Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held Sunday, March 11 at 3 pm in Judson Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Byrd officiating. The burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. The pallbearers will be Mrs. Bailey's grandsons.
