Obituary

FAYETTEVILLE- The beloved son, brother, grandson and friend Alexander "Lex" Michael Sosa was born on May 21, 1982 at Cape Fear Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. He passed away on February 06, 2012 at the age of 29. He graduated from Pine Forest Senior High School in 2000. He was very involved in a variety of school activites to include sports, SGA and theater. He took much interest in theater and was active in the Fayetteville Little Theater, and had the honor of being chosen to attend the North Carolinas Governers School in the Dramatic Arts. After gaining many friends he moved on to Manhattan, NY where he attended Pace University. As a student at Pace University he made his presence known by making an apperance in Teen People Magazine. As a resident of NY for five years he fell in love with the city. He returned to NC in 2006 and kept everyone smiling and joyous. He was a great artist and expressed his skill very well. He enjoyed shopping and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to party and have a great time no matter where he was or what he was doing. He was a large Madonna fan and spontaneous dancer; he loved to be himself. He was a very nice and loving man and made friends everywhere he went. "Lex" was a big expresser and believer in Equal Human Rights for all Americans. He is survived by his mother Shu-Juin Sosa, father Michael Sosa, grandparents Thomas L. Long, Hsing-O Long and Miguel "Ipa" Sosa, brother Kenneth(Ashley) Tapia, sister Solis (Isaac) Evans, niece and nephew Nasir and Nadia Tapia, aunts Shu-Yin and Jennifer Long, uncles Mitch and David Sosa, friends Charlotte Kellogg, Katherine Lutz, Edward Donner, Krissi Sawyers and his godson Landon Reaves, his loving companion Ju ju Bee. He was preceded by his grandmother Isabel "Ima" Sosa A memorial service will be held Saturday February 11, 2012 at 4pm in Jernigan-Warren Chapel.
