Mrs. Alice Williams Brown, 87, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Brown was a member of Massey Hill Baptist Church. She was a former employee of The Fayetteville Observer. She shared her enjoyment of cooking for others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nazalia Lee and Oscar Williams; and her husband, Coy Brown. She is survived by her sons, Coy Dale Brown and wife Patty of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Bryan Brown and wife Suzie of Stedman; a brother, Alvin Williams of Eastover; a special niece, Shirley Murphy of Fayetteville; six grandchildren, Traci, Coy, Jennifer, Candace, Niki and Tyler; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Massey Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Evans and Dr. Phil Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Feb. 6, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
