HOPE MILLS - Mrs. Alice Mae Gore, 90, of Hope Mills, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Hope Mills Retirement Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Ben Smith and the Rev. Tim Gore officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gore is survived by two sons, George M. Gore and wife Roberta of Fayetteville, and Eddie C. Gore of Florida; two daughters, Betty J. Brumbles and husband Gene of Lumberton, and Annie G. Smith and husband Ben of Hope Mills; two sisters, Carrie Hammonds and Catherine Robertson, both of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren, Randy Gore, Bryan Doan, Cindy Tinkham, Greg Caudle, Kimberly Matthews, Amber Stoudt, Linda Gore, Edward Gore and Patrick Gore; eight great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clarence Gore. Memorials may be made to Cape Fear Valley Home Care and Hospice, 3418 Village Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
