Allan Glen Todd, 53, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Todd was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired police officer with the Town of St. Pauls, an avid hunter and fisherman, and a baseball coach with Hope Mills Youth Association. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Monsignor Michael Shugrue officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. Police officers from the Town of St. Pauls will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Aug. 20, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Mr. Todd is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Debra Russell Todd of the home; two sons, Adam Todd and Jacob Todd of the home; his mother, Florence Anna Todd of Fayetteville; his mother-in-law, Louella Russell of Fayetteville; two brothers, James Michael Todd and wife Debbie of Hope Mills, and William Vernon Todd Jr. and wife Tonia of Four Oaks; two sisters, Patricia Faircloth and husband Ray of Hope Mills, and Vickie Todd of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
