Allen Duane Ross, 80, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Feb 28, 2011, In Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he served on the administrative board and was a Sunday school teacher. Mr. Ross was also a volunteer mediator for Cumberland County District Court and a volunteer teacher at Fayetteville Urban Ministry. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 2, 2011, In Trinity United Methodist Church, with the Dr. Milton Little, officiating. Burial in Lafayette Memorial Park West. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the church narthex. Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Faye Dail Ross of the home; three sons Allen Duane Ross Jr. of Raleigh,David Franklin Ross of Morehead City and Mark John Ross and wife Kiki of Gainesville, Va,; daughter, Cynthia Ross Pope and husband Mack of Franklin, Tenn; brothers, Herbert Ross of Tarboro, John Riley Ross of Delmar, California, and James Ross of New Bern; and six grandchldren, Elizabeth Pope, Katherine Pope, Kathleen Ross, A.J.
