FAYETTEVILLE -- Mrs. Alma B. Moore, 82, of Fayetteville, died Friday, April 5, 2013, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Haymount United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Goodwin presiding. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
Alma was born Aug. 6, 1930, in Lonaconing, Md., to the late Mr. Leslie "Pete" Henry and Mrs. Edith Scott Henry. She was a very active member of her church, devoting her attention to both the Barrington Sunday School Class and helping to prepare the bulletins.
Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald C. Moore of the home; two daughters, Nancy Lea Kramer and husband Robert of Germany, and Linda J. Morris and husband Stacy of Fayetteville; a son, Gary D. Moore of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Kelly L. Slizewski, Lauren L. Powyszynski, Kimberly D. Brantley, Jeremy N. Morris and Kelsey D. Morris; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Marylea Miller of Timonium, Md.; and a niece, Patricia A. Sharp of Reisterstown, Md.
