Fayetteville- Mr. Alton D. Register, 81, of Fayetteville, died Monday evening, January 19, 2015, in his home.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015, in Jernigan Warren Chapel at 11 am with Rev. Archie Barringer presiding. The burial will follow in Cumberland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan Warren.

Alton is survived by his wife, Ida; daughter, Brenda Kay Tew; sons, Wayne, Terry, Mark and Chris; step-daughters, Linda Smith, Beverly Threat, and Kathy Bowden; 9 grandchildren and lots of great-grandchildren.
