Obituary

Amuline P. Tew | FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Amuline Parson \\"Amy\\" Tew, 81, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, July 26, 2010, after a courageous battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). She retired from PWC after 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Emily Parson of Clinton; a sister, Mavis Franculli of Torrington, Conn.; and a brother, W.C. Parson of Plymouth, Mich. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Keefe officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a,m. Wednesday at the church. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Alvis Tew of Fayetteville; daughter, Cathy Schwirzke and husband Bob of Fayetteville;. son, Michael Tew and wife Peggy of Eastover, daughter, Cheryl Tew of Raleigh; sisters, Carnell Coffelt of Panama, City, Fla., and Redeithia Sasser of Benson; sister-in-law, Mary Parson of Plymouth, Mich.; grandchildren, Dana Hanna and husband Will of Gastonia, Tripp Culbreth and wife Elizabeth Gardner of Raleigh; Cara Parnell and husband Neil of Wade, and Andy Tew and wife Tiffany of Stedman; and five great-grandchildren; Will Parnell, Reese Culbreth, Micajah Hanna, Lachlan Parnell and Max Culbreth. The family wishes to thank especially her caregivers, Gladys Walker, Sandy Garnto, Elizabeth Jasper, Charity Swinney, Leea' Richardson and Frankie Autry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jim Catfish Hunter Chapter of the ALS Association, 120101 Penmarc Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
