Obituary

Master Sgt. Andrew Jackson May U.S. Air Force Retired, 84 of Fayetteville, died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his residence. Mr. May was a 1949 graduate of Gardiner High School in Laurel, Mississippi, a former member of First Baptist Church in Laurel, Miss. and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. A graveside service will be held, Monday, September 22, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park with full military honors. Mr. May was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean May and his son, Stephen Robert Wright. Surviving are his sons, William "Ace" May and wife Brenda of Stedman, Allen Jeffery "Zeke" May and wife Renee of Summerfield, Andrew J. May II and wife Paula of Fayetteville and Michael Wright and wife Priscilla of Fayetteville; brother, Clark May and wife Patricia of Ft. Mills, S.C. ; Sister, Jeanne Thoms of Alexandria, Va. ; 5 grandchildren Kimberley Wright, Larry Wright, Andrew J. "A.J." May III, Jeffery May and Stephen May; 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren funeral home. Graveside Service Monday, September 22, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park. Visitation- Sunday, September 21, from 4-6 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
