Mrs. Ann Dale Lanthorn, 69, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in her home. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in the chapel of Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Bobby Sykes and the Rev. Tim Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl B. Lanthorn; parents, Esker Dale and Allie Mae Butler; sister, Joyce Naylor; brother-in-law, Nick; and brothers, Norman, Denny, and Fred Dale. She was a retired employee with Black & Decker. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara L. Sykes and husband Bobby, Rose Marie Reese and husband Lewis, and Teresa L. Jacobson; sister, Sue Smith and husband Martin; brother, Bruce Dale; five grandchildren, Christy Sykes and fiance George Stump, Earl Hemingway and wife Nicole, Kelli Ward and husband David, and Bradley and Courtney Jacobson; five great-grandchildren, Ryan Sykes, CJ McDowell, William Earl Hemingway, Dylan Ward and Trey Stump; and 14 stepgrandchildren.
