FAYETTEVILLE - Anthony \\"Tony\\" Craig Jacobs, 42, left this world Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. He was born August 27, 1967 in Cumberland County. He is survived by his wife, C. Renee Jacobs; a daughter who is due to be born in October 2009; his parents, Cecil and Barbara Jacobs; his brother, Warren Jacobs and his significant other Julie Lee, and cousins Glen House and Patty Van Buren, which were considered Tony's brother and sister. He is also survived by his in-laws, George and Susan Montgomery and a large family of aunts, uncles and cousins who all loved him dearly. Tony was heavily involved with the Fayetteville Police Department's volunteer program, C.O.P's (Citizens on Patrol) and the many other volunteer organizations where he assisted the F.P.D. He was also an active voice for the wildlife and conservation in NC. All those that knew and loved Tony were deeply touched by his compassion, generosity, and wisdom, not to mention his willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm Friday, October 2, 2009, at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home chapel, with Police Chaplain Darwyn Hudson officiating. Tony's final wishes were to be cremated; therefore there will not be a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S. Montgomery at 134 Crystal Point, Sanford NC 27332.
