Obituary

Antonie Martinus Romyn was born on September 6, 1941 in Zaandam, Netherlands, and passed away on June 5, 2016. Antonie was preceded in death by his parents Henri and Maria Romijn. He was a pathologist for 7 years in Bloomington, Illinois and Chief of Nuclear Medicine at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville for 20 years. He retired in 2007 and found great joy in woodworking, gardening, and anything to do with railroads and model railroading.

Memorial services will be held at St. James Lutheran Church on Friday June 10th, with Pastor John Locke officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Memorial service following at 11:15 a.m.

He is survived by his wife Lynne Romyn of Fayetteville; daughters, Monica Romyn of Grantsboro and Nancy Barton of Brevard; granddaughters, Ayla and Kaydence Barton of Brevard; brothers, Marius and Dirk Romyn; sisters, Dora Apon and Henrietta Visser all of the Netherlands.
