Rev. Arthur C. Tatem, Jr 85, of Hope Mills, has gone to be with the LORD on Thursday July 8, 2010, He Served the LORD for 55 Years and was the pastor of Lebanon Baptist Church, Eastover, NC, Carroll Memorial Baptist Church, Fayetteville, NC, Faith Baptist Church, Durham, NC, Jefferson Street Baptist Church, Roanoke, VA, Northside Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC, Zion Baptist Church, Orange, VA, Hillside Baptist Church, Fayetteville, NC, New Hope Baptist Church, Spring Lake, NC and was interim Pastor at several churches in the Fayetteville Area. He also taught classes at bible colleges in Virginia & Fayetteville. Art was a Naval Veteran of World War II. Rev. Tatem is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joyce, daughter, Pam Webster, Sons Charles and Art Tatem III, Sister, Peggy Chadwick, Niece, Marsha Johnson & husband Lamar, Nephew Val Chadwick and Wife Sue, 5 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Carroll Memorial Baptist Church on Camden Road at 3:00pm, today, Sunday July 11, 2010 by the Rev. Val Chadwick and Rev. Richard Edwards, the family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the church, Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
