Athal Elbert Truelove, 92, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held, Friday, June 13, 2014 at Jernigan-Warren Chapel at 2 p.m. with Daniel Craig and Harlan Hamilton presiding. The burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. Athal was an Army veteran of WWII. He retired from the City of Fayetteville as chief plumbing inspector. He also had worked for the city's Fire Department. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Mack, Al and Jack. Surviving are his wife, Mary Willis Truelove; daughter, Linda Coltharp; 5 grandchildren, Amy, James, George, Jeffrey and Heath; and numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, June 13, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home and following the service at Linda's home.
