Audrey Carol Thieleke Soderberg, 85 of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away on 2-12-2024.

A Memorial Service will be held at Campground United Methodist Church on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 2pm, 4625 Campground Road, Fayetteville, NC 28314,  with the Rev. Bobby Tyson officiating.

Audrey was a native of the Bronx, New York. She is preceded in death by her parents Herman Phillip Otto Thieleke and Marie Louise George Thieleke, and her husband, the Reverend Herman A. Soderberg, a retired United Methodist Church minister who served in churches in the Northern New Jersey, North Carolina, and the New Jersey conferences, and a step-sister. Janet Rickmers of Boonton, New Jersey.

She is survived by her sister, Marie Bell of Cambridge, New York, a brother, George Thieleke (Mary) of Cedar Grove, New Jersey, a step-sister, Carol Matern of Newton, Connecticut, and 13 nieces and nephews.

Audrey's working career was highlighted by a 26 year tenure in the accounting/payroll department of a hospital in New Jersey.  Additionally, she was the faithful wife of her husband, a United Methodist pastor, Herman, as he served churches in New Jersey, the Outer Banks and Fayetteville, North Carolina.
