Fayetteville, NC- Mrs. Avis Jackson Naylor, 84, of Fayetteville died Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Avis was a native of Sampson County. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Fayetteville and was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School class. She was a retired employee with Burlington Industries after 42 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at 3 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rev. Sherril Boykin officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. Her nephews will serve as her pallbearers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert D. Naylor; a son, Don Naylor; and a grandson, Donny Naylor. She is survived by two grandchildren, Melissa Wrench and husband, Clark, of Dunn, and Tim Naylor and wife, Angie, of Dunn; 4 great grandchildren, Lauren, Trace, Logan and Mindy; sister, Berlene Brandon of Kernersville; and daughter-in-law Diane Naylor of Dunn. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Jernigan Warren. The family asks that memorials be made to Animal Haven, 3927 Bragg Blvd. Fayetteville NC 28303.
