FAYETTEVILLE — Berline Royal Longnecker, 87, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug, 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel with burial following in Cross Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Longnecker was a member of Faith Wesleyan Church and a retired bookkeeper after 40 years of service. Surviving are her daughters, Pat L. Vann and husband Tommy of Little Switzerland and Terri L. Beal and husband Donnie Jr. of Fayetteville; three grandchildren, Lisa V. Nethercutt and husband Jeff of Clinton, Cpl. Kyle F. Longnecker of the U.S. Marines and Brittany Rose Beal both of Fayetteville; four great-grandchildren, Katie and Patrick Jones and Hunter and Collin Nethercutt all of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Longnecker Jr., parents, Grady C. and Rosa Tew Royal; brother, R.H. Royal Sr. and sisters, Mary Dicy Faircloth, Sarah Anna Vann and Maxine Baxley. The family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Faith Wesleyan Church, 2922 Legion Road, Fayetteville, N.C. 28306.
