Bernard Andrew \\"Jack\\" Campbell, Jr., 76, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, December 10, 2006, in the Rehabilitation Center at Village Green.
Jack was born in Fayetteville to Bernard and Maude Wade Campbell on Nov. 8, 1930. He retired from the Fort Bragg Fire Department as station chief in 1987. He also served as a volunteer firefighter at LaFayette Village Fire Department. He was a member of Village Baptist Church. Jack was a devoted husband, father, brother, and Papa.
Surviving are his wife, Olivia Britt Campbell; daughters, Jennifer Young and her husband, Garry, of Germanton, and Jacqueline Russell and her husband, Floyd, Andrea Markham and her husband, George; and son, Bernard \\"Andrew\\" Campbell, III, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Catherine Young and Jacob and Jonah Russell; sister, Sue Myers of Candor; and brothers, John A. Campbell and Raymond E. Campbell of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday evening, Dec. 12, 2006, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Bruce Martin, Dr. John Hedgepeth, and the Rev. Elton Bryan officiating. The burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
