Mrs. Betsy Ross Sweeney, 85 of Fayetteville, N.C. died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Carol S. Roberson Hospice Center. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was very active in the Roadrunners and the Heart Warmers Senior Groups. The family will receive friends Wednesday February 15, 2012 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, followed by a Memorial Service in Jernigan-Warren Chapel at 2:00pm with the Rev. Dr. Milton E. Little. A private burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, N.C. Mrs. Sweeney was preceded in death by her son-in-law David McFadyen. She is survived by her son-Rick Sweeney and wife Maile, daughters; Florence Berger and husband Brian, Diann Hackett and husband Paul, Debi Polka and husband Walter, Beverly McFadyen, 10 grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.
