Betty Riddle Dudley, 82, of Fayetteville, formerly of Cochran Ave., passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Highsmith Rainey Memorial Hospital.

Betty was born on September 14, 1940, in Cumberland County to Eldon and Earline Poole Riddle. She was a secretary with a local State Farm Insurance agent for many years and then served as a Teacher Assistant in the Cumberland County Schools until she retired.  She loved shopping, especially at Stein Mart, Hamricks, and on TV with QVC.  She was known for her affinity of jewelry, purses, and shoes!

Betty is survived by her husband, Robert Carroll Dudley; 3 daughters: Debbie Skarzenski, Sandy Roush, and Tammy Holcomb (Tim); grandson, Doug Skarzenski; sister, Martha Scott (Berry); nephew, Randy Scott; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 17, 2022, from 1:30 to 2:45 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 3:00 pm at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St.
