FAYETTEVILLE - Betty Sanders-Johnson, 81 of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Betty was born August 21, 1935 in Cumberland County to the late Lila and John McLean.

Memorial services will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Rev. Archie Barringer, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

She was a faithful member of Village Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Lacy Capps, Alexander Sanders and Wilson Johnson; sons, William Capps and Gene Capps; eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Devane and husband Craig of Fayetteville; son-in-law, Jay Crabb of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Michael Capps, Heather Crabb, Jamie Crabb, Kirsten Devane, Wilson Johnson, Madeline Campbell and husband Chris; great-grandchildren, David and Paul O'Quinn; numerous nieces and nephews.
