Betty Jeanne Clemmons Walters, 84 of Hope Mills, formerly of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Oscar D. Walters who passed away August 28, 2016.

Betty worked with Burlington Industries and as a server in the food industry.  She was a member of Person Street Methodist Church

Surviving are daughters, Marsha Walthall and Renee' Bueing; son, Oscar Walters, Jr.; brothers, Vernon H., H. Tommy, Sr. and Jerry Clemmons; brother-in-law, Ralph Walters; grandchildren, Chris Walters, Joseph Walthall, Chase and Haley Bueing, Matt and Nic Walters; great grandchildren, Hayden and Brennen Walters, Chloe and Brantley Bueing and Parker Luke Walthall.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2:30pm in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.  Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St.  The family will receive friends prior to the funeral on Sunday from 1pm to 2:30pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
