Master Sergeant Bill R. Crumley, Retired U.S. Army, 86 of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home.
Bill was an Army veteran having served his country for 26 years and received numerous awards and decorations. He was a faithful member of Campground United Methodist Church where he served as an usher.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Campground United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Thomas M. Greener, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Paynes Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Millen, Georgia with full military honors.
Bill is survived by his wife, Ruth Rushton Crumley of the home; son, Michael R. Crumley and wife Anett of Glen Allen, Virginia; twin grandsons ,Camden and Nolan Crumley; sisters, Rachel Hopkins of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Wildred Durham of Cincinnati, Ohio; Sara Jo Fairfield of Houston, Texas; brothers, Jack Crumley of Savannah, Georgia; Robert Crumley and wife Ola of Houston, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Campground United Methodist Church 4625 Campground Rd. Fayetteville, N.C. 28314.
