Billie C. Smith, U.S. Army Retired, 84, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1p.m. at Campground United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service at the Church. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Gilda Smith and his daughter, Sharon Blackwell. Surviving are his son, Ron Smith of Weathford, Tx; sisters, Mattie Smith Beatty and Dorothy Smith Bethune both of S.C.; grandchildren, Jennifer Blackwell Johnson, Michael C. Smith and Amber R. Smith.
