Billy Botello US Army Retired Sergeant First Class, 84 of Fayetteville passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 7, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Billy was an Army/Air force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a deacon and faithful member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ethel Harris Botello.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm in First Baptist Church, 201 Anderson St. Fayetteville , NC 28301 with Rev. Robert James, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. with full military honors. The family will receive friends at the church in memorial lounge on Saturday from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm.

Billy is survived by his wife, Irmgard Botello of the home; sons, Michael S. Botello of Lacey, Washington, Brian C. Botello and wife Kathy of Lillington, John D. Botello and wife Tami of Fayetteville; sisters, Flora Jean Baker and husband George of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Sylvia Stovell of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jonathan Cameron Botello, James Brian Botello, Casey Leigh Botello, Emily Nicole Botello; great-grandchild, Kona James Vasquez Botello.
