Fayetteville, N.C. Mrs. Blanche Stewart Medlin, 72 of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in Cape Fear Valley Center. Mrs. Medlin was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a retired civil service employee at Fort Bragg. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Boyle officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Mrs. Medlin was preceded in death by her parents Lottie and Charles Stewart, husband Tom Medlin, brothers Charles, Pete, Paul, and Frank Stewart. She is survived by her sister-in-law Peggy Smith Stewart of Carthage, nephews Richie Stewart and his wife Gwen of Raleigh, David Stewart and his wife Lynn Ann of Apex, nieces Sharon Seawell and husband Herman, Jr. of Carthage, Kathy Stewart of Carthage, Mary Warner and husband Buddy of Cameron, great nephews Grant Warner and wife Jennifer of Fayetteville, Paul Warner of Cameron, Matthew Seawell of Raleigh, Justin Carden of Carthage, great nieces Lauren Seawell of Chapel Hill, Allison Carden of Wilson, Kerilea Lake of Carthage and great-great nephews James and Christopher Warner. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church 219 Hull Rd. Fayetteville, N.C. 28303.
