Bobby Wayne Ivey, 87, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at his home.

Bobby was born September 26, 1933 in Horry County, SC to the late Jessie and Johnny Clyde Ivey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Gordon Ivey and a brother, Ted Ivey.

Bobby was a retired manager with the telephone company.

Bobby was an Army veteran where he served as a paratrooper and Drill Sergeant.

He enjoyed raising cows and horses on his farm, gardening and wood working.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Ivey Brooks and husband Kevin; son, A. Wayne Ivey and wife Kaye; sisters, Shirley Melvin and husband Donald, Linda Thompson and husband Fate; brother, Lynn Ivey and wife Brenda; sister-in-law, Louise Ivey; grandchildren, Ivey and Judson Brooks and his caregiver, Angelika Yearman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gray's Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.,2661 Sand Hill Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306.
