Obituary

Command Sergeant Major Retired U.S. Army, Bobby Vernon Teague, 82 of Parkton passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

CSM (Ret.) Teague was an Army ranger and awarded the Silver star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with Valor with six oakleaf clusters and a Purple Heart.

Bobby was born in Rowan County, NC on March 18, 1935 to the late John and Gertrude Teague. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War. Mr. Teague was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Jenkins.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Taylor Teague of the home; sister, Virginia Pickler of Salisbury; grandchildren, Bobby White and Amber Clewis; great-grandchildren, Kaley Jacobs, Megan Jacobs and Landon Clewis; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in JFK Chapel on Ft. Bragg. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
