Bonita Sue Rees,84, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her home with her beloved family by her side.

Bonita was born December 9, 1938, in Connersville, Indiana to the late Theresa and Gilbert Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Richard Rees.

Bonita was a retired librarian at Methodist University and Main Post Library at Fort Bragg.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 12-1:00 PM at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on with a private family burial following.

She is survived by her sons, Randolph Rex Rees (Emily Jo Morgan), Michael DeWayne Rees (Heather Lynn); daughter, Toni Hanson; grandchildren, Brittannie Hanson, Abbagayle Morgan Rees, Makayla Jade Rees, Jeremiah Hanson, Ashlee, Emilee, Jason, and Dana; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Elizabeth, Hayden and Amelia.
