Brenda Faye Branch
Richardson
Jul 14, 1951 — Sep 25, 2026
Hope Mills
Brenda Faye Richardson, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Brenda was born in Robeson County on July 14, 1951, to the late Durham and Dorothy Branch McLaurin. In her early years, she worked in retail before becoming a homemaker, where she took great pride in keeping an amazing and welcoming home.
Brenda was a devoted Christian and a tremendous witness for Christ. She never missed an opportunity to tell others about Jesus and the love of her Savior. Her faith was at the center of her life, and her favorite Bible verse was Romans 8:28: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
She loved Southern Gospel music and was a charter member of Fayetteville Community Church, where she remained active until her health declined. Brenda's love for the Lord, her faithful testimony, and her genuine care for others touched the lives of many.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles, Larry, Ronnie, and Roger Branch; her sister, Doris Sova; and her stepfather, George McLaurin.
She leaves behind several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a host of dear friends who will cherish her memory. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Chico, who was a cherished companion.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A private burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Brenda's memory to the American Kidney Foundation.
Brenda's earthly journey is complete, but the testimony of her faith and her love for Jesus will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
