Bryant Shannon Powell, 44 of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013. Shannon was a member of Southview Baptist Church. He was a dedicated coach for the Hit'n Mills Vipers Girl's Traveling Softball Team. He shared his love of the game through coaching youth baseball and basketball. Shannon was the co-owner and buyer for Powell and Sons Timber Co. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Edgar Cecil Godwin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Southview Baptist Church 4089 Elk Rd. Hope Mills, N.C. 28348. Burial will follow in the Nash-Morris Family Cemetery 3849 Nash Rd. Fayetteville, N.C. 28306.
