George Butler Nooney, 70 of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday morning October 12, 2011 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Nooney was a Army Veteran and a loving husband for many years. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Mildred and Jessie Nooney; two sisters, Rosemary Infinger and Brenda K. Nooney. Butler Nooney is survived by his loving wife Dale Lasater of the home; daughters, Sherri Wern and husband Richard of Ridgeville, SC, Mary Lasater Pons of Fayetteville; Son, John Lasater and wife Carolyn of Charlotte; sister, Rose Ellen Umstead and husband Jeff of Hanahan, SC; grandchildren Logan Pons, Emily Lasater, Natalie Lasater, Michelle Lasater; step-grandchildren, Michelle Wern, and Mary W. Raymond. A memorial service for George Butler Nooney will be held on Monday October 17, 2011 at 4pm in the Jernigan Warren Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Todd Brady officiating. Visitation will be following the service in Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the River Community Church Building Fund, 6322 Ramsey St Fayetteville, NC 28311.
