Sgt Major Carl Cook Retired U.S. Army, 72, of Fayetteville died Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Surviving are his wife, Kikuko Cook; daughter, Sandra Gonzalez and husband Jose; brother, Jim Cook; sister, Connie Stirewalt; granddaughters, Amanda Gonzalez and husband Jose Mercado-Amadeo; Alicia Spears and husband Richard. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
