Mr. Carl Reece Lancaster, 78, of Hope Mills, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Lancaster was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 22, 2008, at 4 pm in LaFayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Leila O. Lancaster, of the home; a son, Rodney Lancaster of Ohio; three brothers, Talmadge Lancaster and wife, Earlene, of Pembroke Pines, FL, Maurice Lancaster and wife, Helen, of Fayetteville, and Tryon Lancaster and wife, Anne, of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Elizabeth Lancaster, a sister, Alberta Deaver, and a brother, James R. Lancaster, Jr. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to either Victory United Methodist Church or to a charity of one's choice.
