Fayetteville, N.C. Mr. Carl Jake Suggs, 76 of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Jake was a faithful member of Northwood Temple. He was a retired employee with Cumberland County schools. Jake was a part time employee with Hertz Rental Cars. He was preceded in death by his parents Julia and Lubie Suggs. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Northwood Temple with Dr. John Hedgepeth, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Mr. Suggs is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Kathryn Ward Suggs of the home; son Jason Suggs of Fayetteville; sister Ursie Smith of Fayetteville; brothers Maurice Suggs and wife Virginia of Fayetteville; Leonard Suggs of Fayetteville; Byron Suggs and wife Cathy of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews.
