Mrs. Carolyn Owens Howard, 64, of Fayetteville, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2008, in her home. Mrs. Howard was a retired employee of First Citizens Bank. She was a member of Salvation Army Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Home League. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2008, in the chapel of Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Captain Juan Guadalupe officiating. Burial will follow in Parkton Cemetery in Parkton. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, March 25, 2008, at the funeral home. Mrs. Howard is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Allen G. Howard of the home; two daughters, Delaine Pelt and husband Kevin, and Jennifer Evans and husband Rick, all of Fayetteville; a son, Jeffrey Howard and wife Natalie of Hillsborough; four sisters, Helen Barefoot of St. Pauls, Sarah Shaw of Parkton, and Charlotte Ivey and Margaret Berry, both of Fayetteville; and three granddaughters, Nicole, Stephanie and Mallory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Albert Owens; and a brother, Fred Owens. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
