MSGT. Carroll R. Flowers, Jr. "Bunk" U.S. Army Retired, 85, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, October 6, 2016. Carroll retired from the 82nd Airborne Division, US Army, after 23 years of service. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was most proud of his family and service to his country. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lafayette Memorial Park with military honors. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Flowers of the home; sons, Michael Flowers and wife Barbara of Fayetteville; Robert Flowers and wife Sharon of Archdale; daughter, Linda F. Ondeck and husband Wayne of Climax; grandchildren, Michael Flowers, Jr., Laura Chaffin, Vickie Thomson, Shawn Ondeck, Becky Warner; and 11 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 Wednesday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 3101 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, N.C. 28303
