Carroll Maurice Parkerson, 70, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Eugene Parkerson, and his mother, Nancy Clyde Parkerson of Chester, Ga. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Angie Parkerson of the home; two sons, Phillip Parkerson of San Francisco and Father Paul Parkerson of Dunn; two daughters, Pamela Crabtree and her husband, Bryan, of Eastover, and Shannon White and her husband, Ben, of Trinity, Ala.; two brothers, the Rev. Del Parkerson and his wife, Jessie, of Wilmington, and Ed Parkerson and his wife, Phyllis, of Greensboro; six grandchildren, Shanna Parkerson Williams, Jenna Parkerson Williams, Isaac Crabtree, Bradley Hopkins, Amber White and Ella White; first cousin, Robert Lee of Fayetteville; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was retired from Jefferson-Pilot Insurance Co. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, July 11, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, at Cedar Falls Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
