Catherine Dailey Johnston, 78, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

Catherine was born on October 14, 1943, in Morgantown, WV to the late Carl H. Dailey and Lena Marie Schmidt. She retired as a teacher after 40 years of service.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Campground United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Catherine was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Jo Liddle, and Helen Louise Pritt.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald "Ron" Alfred Johnston; daughters, Amy Kendrick and husband Ray, Sarah Strickland, and husband Allen; son, Wesley Johnston, and wife Crystal; sisters, Mary Ellen Radcliff, and Betty Jo Dixon; grandchildren, Thomas James Kendrick, Julia Marie Kendrick, Emma Grace Johnston, Lillian Rose Johnston, Nathan Garrett Strickland, Elizabeth Camille Strickland and Davis Allen Strickland.
