WILMINGTON - Catherine Marr Jordan, of Wilmington, formerly of Fayetteville, born Oct. 20, 1925, departed this life Saturday, May 23, 2009, to join her beloved husband, Alfred. Catherine loved her God, her church and her family. She also loved shopping, eating out, redecorating, laughing, reminiscing and spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren. A deeply spiritual person, she had a gift for putting people at ease and could comfort family, friends and strangers alike. She will be remembered with love by her children, Allan Jordan and wife Judy, Thomas Jordan and wife Julie, and Kay Laird and husband Paul; her grandchildren, Curt Jordan and wife Charity, Christopher Jordan, Amy Jordan, Christopher Baxley and wife Emily, Jeremy Jordan and wife Dawn, Jason Jordan and wife Julia, Stephanie Rudloff, Matthew Laird and Benjamin Laird; and special friends, Bill and Marcy Fraser, as well as several great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville.
